Cheesy Potato Soup 1 Welcome to Phyllis from the Gulf Coast of Alabama as one of our Deep South Recipe Gurls!©  She loves to cook and delights to share from her bounty!  We have been friends since the 5th grade!  We are blessed to have her share about her faith, family and delicious food at Life Bubbling Over!

Phyllis writes….  This recipe is called Cheezzy Potato Soup.  It’s a favorite of mine because it’s easy to prepare and delicious!  It is a wonderful recipe to take to others when they are sick. Life is about sharing and giving to others.  Everyone I have shared this with has all loved it. Another reason that this is a special recipe is because my daughter sells Wildtree products, and I use them in this recipe, but if you don’t have Wildtree ingredients you can supplement with other things. Here is the recipe.

Cheezzy Potato Soup

5 lbs bag of Red Potatoes

1 Can of Campbell’s Cheesy Soup

2-3 Strips of Fried Bacon

1 Small Onion Finely Chopped

½  Cup of Milk

1 tsp. Butter

Put potatoes in pot and cover with water.  Add chopped onion and milk. You can also add butter which is optional.  Add your can of Cheesy Soup.  Cook until potatoes are really tender. Then add your bacon pieces.  Sometimes I add a little bacon grease, but if you’re cooking heart healthy leave that off. This is a delicious comfort food!  Serve with crackers or a nice cake of cornbread, sit back, relax and ENJOY!

Just as we must feed our physical bodies, we must feed our spiritual bodies; remember to feed on God’s Word every day!  I’ll be posting another recipe soon so keep coming back.
