Nothing Can Stop It!

Kids with Bible What a shocker when kids in a local school started reciting God’s Word in languages from across the world!  You may ask how this could this happen.

I was teaching in an afterschool Bible Club and the children were reciting their weekly memory verse, when a small voice from the back of the room timidly said, “Can I say my verse in my real language?  It is Swahili.”  I said sure.   This shy voice spoke boldly as she spoke in her “real” language, but none of us were ready for what happened next.  Out of the 80+ children 20 or more were asking to say the verse in their real language.  It was awesome!  The verse was 1 John 4:8b.

“…God is love.” 1 John 4:8b

Hearing this was a God moment for me, a frozen moment in time I will never forget, a little taste of heaven, a realization of the fact that this group of children have the potential of spreading God’s Word across the world into places it may never have been otherwise!

Even though this was a tiny, simple, fragment of the verse, “…God is love.”

Nothing can compare to the truth it holds.

Nothing on earth can be found that is more of a treasure.

Nothing is greater or more powerful than God’s Word on a life.

Nothing can erase it from hearts and…

Nothing can stop it from spreading to the ends of the earth and impacting lives for eternity!

God’s Word is not just for children, it’s our daily food to nourish, strengthen and empower.  It has always been and will always be.   The Word is life!

The Word is God!

Without my God and without the Word…my life would be NOTHING!

  1. What a powerful story! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Amen! Great story about the kids at Bible school and how God used them to touch your heart.

Visiting from FMF. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  3. Oh, what a glorious moment you were blessed to be a part of! I wish I could hear a recording of that, but my mind is imagining it as inexpressibly beautiful to our God and King! Heart Hugs, Shelly <3

    • Shelly it was glorioius. I got goosies! There were 28 different nationalities in this particular club and such a hunger for God. The experience was amazing. Next week I will be doing heavy outreach at a soup kitchen in a very needy area that is over run with children. I would love to take you along! Have a blessed weekend sweet friend…<><...Cathy

  4. Wow, that is so powerful. In our prayer room one of our worship leader will often sing his devotional in his native tongue. I can’t understand the words, but there is something powerful that happens as my spirit connects with the worship.

    • You are right! Something powerful happens when my spirit connects with worship too. I love those unexpected times of worship and savor the sweetness that lingers.
